1/ Kamasi Washington – Fists of Fury

We liked this piece as soon as we heard it, but we didn’t know we’d end up loving it this much. Maybe it was the inconvenience of having to listen to all nine minutes of it repeatedly, but once we fell under the spell, we did just that… over and over and over. And we still are.

A reinterpretation of the theme song from Bruce Lee’s classic kung fu flick, it glows with a power that is simply magnetic. While the vocals replace the kitsch of the original with with an elegant determination, all the instruments also join in the anthemic, fist pumping energy. It is simply epic.
