Koffee debut “Rapture” is classic reggae for today’s world

The first EP from the new hope of reggae shows respect for tradition while embracing global sounds

Koffee is barely 19, but the confidence she displays on her first EP, as the respect and mastery of reggae’s history, make her worthy of the label of Jamaica’s new great hope.

After making a splash at 17 with “Legend”, a song about Usain Bolt (his appreciation and sharing of the tune certainly helped), she quickly rose up the ranks. By 18, she had the support of superstars like Chronixx. With the brilliant “Toast”, a tour-de-force of cool confidence and sunny vibes, her name went global.

Her first EP is stuffed with top gems, each sounding like a modern classic and dripping with positivity. She is “coming like a rapture” (and everybody get captured) and is shooting for the “Throne”.

She ends the record by showcasing her toasting prowess on the classic “Real Rock” riddim, humbly shouting out to her raggamuffin elders and to reggae’s power.

This short sweet album is the feelgood lotion, positive energy potion that you need right now!
