Bomb Thrown” blasts out of the gate at a gallop, on a relentless vintage action-scene soundtrack beat that never lets up. Wu-Tang’s Inspectah Deck opens the games with some high octane old-skool ego-tripping, with comix-level hyperbole. Esoteric takes the relay immediately afterwards, no time to slow down for a chorus.

As good as they are, they are merely the opening shots before MF Doom’s calm bomb devastation. Doom’s extended verse is pure gold, finding the masked supervillain as playful and eloquent as ever. There’s no outro, and no need for one; his final word is the full-stop this track needs.
