Khruangbin use funk rhythms as a foundation for this ode to Iranian 1970’s pop music, especially female singers who can no loner perform. Oud riffs initially dance around groovy bass, before the music blooms into a full mix of East and West. It might be wordless, but the instruments sing in various tongues, and the pleasure is universal.
